Kelly Osbourne's bronchitis medication is making her space out: 'I've been staring at a wall all day'

Singer and 'Fashion Police' co-host Kelly Osbourne has revealed that she was recently diagnosed with bronchitis and is feeling lousy now that she's on the road to recovery.

Writing on her official Twitter page earlier this week, the star told her 3.1 million followers that she has the infection, but originally thought it was just hayfever:

"Woke up feeling sick so I went to the Doctor & I have bronchitis it sucks I cant stop coughing! I thought I just had allergies!"

Osbourne, who suffered a seizure back in March, returned to the social networking site today and explained that she has been prescribed antibiotics by her doctor, but they're so strong she can't focus on anything:

"4 reasons why I hate being sick: 1. I can't smell anything 2. I can't taste anything 3. I have to keep blowing my nose 4. coughing!!!! I swear to god I have spent the better part of a day staring at the wall the antibiotics the DR put me on are so strong!"

Geri Halliwell on 'Viva Forever!' closing: 'It's not a s**t musical'

Pop star Geri Halliwell has opened up about her disappointment at the forthcoming end of the Spice Girls musical, 'Viva Forever!'.

The production only launched back in December last year, but ticket sales haven't been as promising as initially hoped so the show will come to a close on June 29 with one final performance.

Writing on her official blog today (May 22), the 'Wannabe' hitmaker explained that she doesn't understand why the musical wasn't as popular as predicted because she thinks it is fantastic: "Over 4 years ago it started with a conversation in a Kitchen; Laughing… Joking… full of promise, dreams & optimism."

"We managed to get one of the most successful Theatre producers to do our show! A great writer, our Spice music… I felt confident - almost cocky it was going to be a huge success."

Questioning the production, she continued: "What went wrong? Was I biased? Blinded because it was a show with our music? Was it the lighting? The set? The choreography? The press? The story? It had a bumpy start but the cast and director worked really hard, made great changes, and I can hand on heart tell it's not s**t! - It’s good entertainment!"

Halliwell added that she is now heading down under to be a judge on 'Australia's Got Talent' and thanked everyone who participated in 'Viva Forever!' for such an amazing experience: "I don’t regret it. I got to meet and work with the fabulous Judy Craymer, the producer whom I hope to be a friend for life."

"So this is to say thank you to all the people who tried for the Spice Girls, who had the guts to put their heart and soul into Viva. Even if something doesn't work, I admire anyone who tries, because a lot of people are afraid to. Thanks to all the cast of Viva, the musicians, Judy, Jennifer, the Spices and to all the fans and theatre-goers who came."

'Random Access Memories', the new album from French electro-duo Daft Punk, is the midweek No.1 in today's chart update and it is also on course to be the fastest selling album of the year so far.

The record shifted an incredible 104,000 copies as of midnight last night (May 21) in the UK and during its first 48 hours of being made available became the third fastest selling album of 2013.

Justin Timberlake's 'The 20/20 Experience' (which is at No.32 this afternoon) currently holds the record, but Daft Punk are only 1,000 copies behind so the record could soon be theirs.

Demi Lovato's new offering, 'Demi', has entered the albums chart at 6.

Jamie Cullum has debuted with his new record 'Momentum' at No.12, Paramore's self-titled new cut has dropped 10 spots to No.40, and Daft Punk's 'Discovery' has climbed 1 position to sit at No.28 after 84 weeks on the chart.

Daft Punk on helmets: "It's sci-fi glam"

Daft Punk have denied their use of helmets is a "marketing" ploy.

The French dance duo regularly wear robot style helmets when live or in photoshoots.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, Thomas Bangalter said that the group wants to blur the boundaries between real life and fantasy by wearing the helmets. He said:

"We're interested in the line between fiction and reality, creating these fictional personas that exist in real life. Kraftwerk and Ziggy Stardust and Kiss; people thought the helmets were marketing or something, but for us it was sci-fi glam."

Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo added: "We're not performers, we're not models – it would not be enjoyable for humanity to see our features, but the robots are exciting to people."

Daft Punk released their fourth studio album 'Random Access Memories' in the UK on Monday (May 20) and it is expected to be a huge success in the charts.

“I want to engage people once again and make the rest of the world care as well.
“Charlotte Froom and Tennesse Thomas from The Like will be helping me to reform GD for a select few shows to promote the record and say goodbye to the band properly so I can concentrate on my new project Annie Hardy and the Psychos as well as my pet project PnP who will also be finishing up recording EPs with Joe Cardamone of The Icarus Line.”

New record Waking Up Is Hard To Do received raved reviews from press and stomps, grooves and melts to a blissed out climax in all the right places, serving as an honest and timely reminder that sometimes after a fall, great talent just needs time to collect and take stock before it can breathe again.

Eminem publisher sues Facebook over song use

Eminem's publisher has filed a lawsuit against Facebook over claims they used one of his songs in an advert without permission.

The Detroit Free Press reports that a 12-page complaint has been issued against the social networking company for their use of the 2000 track 'Under The Influence'.

Eight Mile Style claim that Facebook didn't ask for permission to use the song on the advert, which was broadcast during a Mark Zuckerberg webchat on April 4.

The lawsuit says that a new version of the advert featuring different music was uploaded online days after in order to replace the original clip - "an admission that Facebook knew it had infringed", the publishers say.

As previously reported, Eminem was recently pictured in the studio alongside fellow rappers Royce Da 5'9" and Big Sean.

His last album meanwhile came in the shape of 2010's 'Recovery'.

The Parent Television Council have criticised Ke$ha for drinking her own pee on TV.

They say the singer promoted "disgusting, vile content" on her Ke$ha: My Crazy Beautiful Life show on MTV earlier this year.

In a letter, the group - who monitor TV output in the US - said that there should be more choice in what channels are received so that viewers can avoid programmes like Ke$ha's show. They said:

"Why should we have to pay for this kind of garbage just so we can get access to Discovery, Disney, or the Golf channel? It's outrageous - and it shouldn't be that way. Consumers deserve choice. We should all have the ability to choose and pay for only the channels we want to watch...but the cable industry won't let that happen without a fight."

Ke$ha meanwhile previously admitted that she wouldn't drink her own pee again, saying:

"I'm also just one that doesn't shy away from things. I'm not good at saying 'no' so I just figure, f*ck it, I'll try anything once. So I tried it. I wouldn't recommend it. It was pretty gross. And I don't think it really did anything very beneficial to me so, yeah, I wouldn't probably do it again."
