Company History

 

Mercenary Publicity was set up in 1998 by Kas Mercer who has 24 years experience in PR. She worked for Mercury Records for 10 years ( 6 as Head of Press) and was responsible for such diverse artists as Elton John, Bon Jovi, Kiss, Roni Size, Johnny Cash, Warren G, Tears For Fears. 

We currently represent established artists as well as new acts, no niches for us, we just like good tunes!

Our company specialises in National Press and Online PR within the UK although we also have good connections with regional press, Radio and TV. We are proactive and creative in our approach, and committed to, and passionate about our clients - most of whom we have represented for many years.

Mercenary has helped launch the music careers of Jamie Cullum, (for whom we were shortlisted for a Music Week Pr Campaign of the year award), Fightstar and Har Mar Superstar as well as maintaining the profiles of Goo Goo Dolls, Motley Crue and Lethal Bizzle. We also were involved in the newly reformed Dinosaur Jr and My Bloody Valentine media campaigns and continue to work with both acts.  

In the past Mercenary has represented lostprophets, Def Leppard, My Chemical Romance, The Cult and many more.
