GREW UP IN AFRIKA

Tommy James was born on March 3, 1986 in Liberia, where he spent his early years.

In 1990 he moved with his four siblings and his mother to Lagos , Nigeria, where he grew up.

To support his family, he worked at night on a Fisher boat and

took every opportunity during the day to get any odd job to survive.

With 12 years, Tommy enrolled in a Christian church, and sang

as a tenor in a gospel choir called "Aroma of Praise". Each week he wrote and composed the music for the Sunday service.

His life led him from an early age on the streets. As a street child life was hard , so he often dreamed of a carefree life in Europe. However, the situation in which he found himself , led him first to a formative odyssey through Africa. Fortunate he found his way to Germany.

STARTING HIS MUSIC-CAREER

Arrived in Germany in 2003 and co founded a band called Ethno Roots In Salzgitter.

In 2008 he was taken from a cologne record label Julius Lahai. This was followed by live acts in the field of funk and soul, such as in Berlin, Cologne , Hamburg, Munich.

With its accumulated experience, he decided with a good friend the entertainer MC Jazz to take the reins into their own hands . They organized Club Shows together with Honig & Creme, for example, international artists, such as Product G & B, Nina Sky, Sisqo, Fatmanscoop, Olu Maintain nationwide live acts. Due to its versatile intrested in music he was enthusiastic about various music projects including Cars & Drums, Multitimbral , Tone Braunschweig  and  Futuristikz .

In 2010 he founded together with Sutflute the music community Edify Music Group. Together they built a studio that should be the basis for the future.

2013 Tommy James went to Berlin. Since then, he has been performing in the Various clubs such as Maxxim, Felix Restaurant Club, Jagger, Surprise, 40seconds, ....

With a few good friends he founded in 2014 the record label  JooR ° MUSIC
