50 Cent wants to sign Zayn Malik to his label: 'I'll happily mentor him'

50 Cent says he is keen to sign Zayn Malik to his record label.

The One Direction man has worked with UK producer Naughty Boy over the last number of months.

Malik is due to feature on some of the star's upcoming new material and this has created rumours about the singer going solo.

Speaking to The Sun, rapper 50 Cent said that he would been interested in working with Malik if he wanted to pursue over avenues.

He said: "If Zayn wants a rap career, just because of who he is, he is going to sell records. But if he wants to be credible he has to be with the right people.

"I'd happily sign him up to my label, mentor him and have him working with the biggest rappers on the planet."

50 Cent added: "I have always wanted to work with Simon [Cowell], so this could be a joint venture. There is no doubt the members of One Direction are going to launch solo careers, and sometimes the bravest go on to be the biggest. Look at Justin Timberlake."
