50 Cent denies Zayn Malik label link but wants collaboration

50 Cent has distanced himself from speculation linking Zayn Malik to his record label.

The rapper had been quoted in the past few months saying that he wants to work with the singer on a business level.

Malik left One Direction in March and he has been working with producer Naughty Boy on solo music.

WENN now quote 50 Cent as saying that the reports of Malik signing to his label are wide of the mark.

The rapper, however, did express his wish to record music with the Brit.

He said: "I like him as an artist, so maybe we’ll get a chance to collaborate at some point...I like his music."

Simon Cowell's label Syco meanwhile have denied reports that Malik has left the company.

The Sun suggested that the singer had been shifted to another Sony label to avoid a conflict of interest with fellow Syco act One Direction.
