5 Seconds of Summer have revealed that they are good friends with Gemma Styles.

The sister of Harry Styles has been out on tour with One Direction when the Aussies were supporting them in the past.

This sparked off a friendship between Gemma and 5 Seconds of Summer - although it seems romance rumours linking her to some of the Australians are wide of the mark.

Now reports that Ashton Irwin told the Mirror: "We do hang out. Gemma's been on tour with 1D so she really does get it. She's cool to hang around with."

Luke Hemmings added: "Gemma's a friend of the band, she's friends with all of us."

5 Seconds of Summer meanwhile are set to support One Direction again in Europe and North America this year on their Where We Are stadium tour.
