5 Seconds of Summer admit they are too busy to have girlfriends.

The four Australians have become heartthrobs since rising to fame, but it seems their packed schedule is denying them a chance to settle with partners.

When asked by KIIS 1065 if the band have any girlfriends, drummer Ashton Irwin replied:

"We don't have girlfriends. It's not rule, it's just like a thing. We're not in the same place for more than 24 hours usually, so it's just hard to commit to anything."

5 Seconds of Summer meanwhile are due to release their latest EP single 'Don't Stop' in the UK on June 15.

It follows up their previous effort 'She Looks So Perfect', which reached No.1 in the country.

The band's debut album is set to follow on July 22.
