5 Seconds of Summer have paid tribute to their fans after releasing their latest EP.

The band unleashed the 'Don't Stop' EP and single on Monday (June 16) and the former instantly shot to No.1 in the UK on iTunes.

The single also reached No.2 and the success of the release prompted the Australians into thanking their fans on Twitter.

The band said: "Morning! Just wanted to say a huge thanks if you got don't stop! Means a lot to us :) xx."

5 Seconds of Summer meanwhile are due to release their self-titled debut album in the UK on June 30.
