5SOS's Ashton: 'I can't believe 'Don't Stop' could be No.1 in the UK, our fans are epic'

The UK Top 40's midweek chart update was released on Wednesday and it showed that 5 Seconds Of Summer have taken the lead at No.1 by around 20,000 copies with their new single, 'Don't Stop'.

Now, heartthrob Ashton Irwin has revealed that he can't believe his band is enjoying such huge success on an international level and it's incredible to think that the song could be in the Top 3 when the positions are announced this coming Sunday.

Writing on his official Twitter page earlier today (June 20), drummer Irwin admitted that it's amazing to see their music doing so well in the UK: "Can't even believe "Don't Stop" could actually be in the top three in the UK, so crazy... You guys are epic."

Michael Clifford also posted about the song's chart impact and asked fans to keep buying it as it would give them their second UK No.1 single: We're really really close to getting our 2nd #1 in the UK and it's all thanks to you guys for supporting us."
