5 Seconds of Summer have admitted that seeing their fans excited for their first album is making them emotional.

The group are releasing their self-titled debut record in the coming days and their supporters have been showing their fevered anticipation on Twitter.

It seems it is all a bit too much for the Australians, who tweeted today (June 26):

"Nearly makes me tear up seeing you guys as happy about the album as we are."

The album meanwhile has been preceded by the two singles 'She Looks So Perfect' and 'Don't Stop'.

The band have also given out songs from the record recently with pre-orders of the album.
