5 Seconds of Summer say dating a fan would be a 'bonus'

5 Seconds of Summer have opened up on the prospects of dating a fan.

The band are all curently single, but Michael Clifford told the Mirror that he would find it hard to turn down a "hot" fan.

He said: "I like girls in bands. A girl that’s a musician is just such a turn-on. Creative people who are songwriters. But I’d get with a fan – if a girl was hot and liked our music then that would be a bonus.”

Calum Hood meanwhile dismissed suggestion that the quartet are on dating app Tinder, adding:

"We were joking about Tinder. I’d be open to using it. It sounds lovely – but if it’s based on looks I don’t think I’d get many people."

5 Seconds of Summer are currently in a chart battle with Ed Sheeran in the UK.

The Australians' self-titled debut record was less than 1,000 copies ahead of Sheeran's 'x' on Wednesday (July 2).
