Today (July 7) is 5SOS member Ashton Irwin's twentieth birthday and Irish superstar Niall Horan, of One Direction fame, admitted that he's happy to wish him well because he's one of the 'nicest' people he has met in the industry. 

'Story Of My Life' singer Horan celebrated Irwin's birthday with a lovely tweet, in which he described the talented young drummer as having a 'heart of gold'.

The 1D sensation wrote publicly: "Happy birthday to one of the nicest guys I've had the pleasure of meeting! Heart of gold he's got! @Ashton5SOS."

The 'She Looks So Perfect' heartthrob also posted an update to Twitter, which he accompanied with a picture that can be seen above left, to thank fans for the messages: "Today 20 years ago I was born lol. Thanks for all the birthday wishes, love you x."

Pressparty recently sat down for a chat with The Vamps' Tristan Evans and he spoke about meeting 5 Seconds Of Summer, explaining that they're a great band and are all really nice guys: "We hung out with 5 Seconds Of Summer a little bit. It was great to finally meet them, they’re really cool guys and we’ve been checking them out for a while now; they’re absolutely killing it. It was great to meet them."
