5SOS on Good Charlotte's Madden Brothers Writing ‘Amnesia’

Australian heartthrobs 5 Seconds Of Summer have revealed that having a song on their debut album that was written by Good Charlotte's very own Madden brothers is amazing because they all grew up listening to their music.

5SOS's drummer Ashton Irwin explained that working with Joel and Benji Madden was a dream come true and the track itself was perfect for what they wanted as they were looking for a ballad, but one with an edge:

"We sort of met them through mutual friends and I guess we're really lucky... it's amazing to be able to work with them. We were looking for the right acoustic song to put on the album. We wanted something special and we heard that song for the first time... it was a big deal for us."

Guitarist Michael Clifford then revealed that Luke Hemmings' first ever gig was a Good Charlotte show so it was especially exciting for him. Hemmings then took the microphone and added: "It was really cool. I was very scared to meet them, but they were just like normal band dudes and we got along with them really well."
