5SOS recall first ever band practice: 'There was one microphone we all shared'

Australian pop-punkers 5 Seconds Of Summer have revealed that they've come such a long way since their first rehearsal in member Michael Clifford's garage that it's unbelievable to comprehend.

Luke Hemmings told 'Extra Minutes' that when they had their first band practice together, their equipment was less than desirable and the set-up made it hard to play properly, so looking at their success now is 'ridiculous' because they're just so far from where they began:

"I remember the first band practice in Michael's garage and he (Calum Hood) didn't have a bass. There was one microphone we'd all share and Ashton was on an electric drum kit. We had these awful amps. To have the opportunity to play to as many people as we do every night - travel around and have fans everywhere - it's just... ridiculous."

When asked what's next for 5SOS, guitarist Michael Clifford admitted that they've already achieved the goals they set for themselves so are just enjoying their journey now wholeheartedly and without expectation: "The sky's the limit, I guess. We've passed every goal we've had since we've started."
