5 Seconds of Summer nominated for Best Lyric Video VMA

5 Seconds of Summer have landed a nomination for this year's Best Lyric Video VMA.

The MTV awards ceremony is taking place on August 24 and a host of big names have been nominated.

Australians 5 Seconds of Summer have now bagged a nomination in the new Best Lyric Video category for their 'Don't Stop' clip.

They will face off against Katy Perry ('Birthday'), Demi Lovato ('Really Don't Care'), Austin Mahone ('MMM Yeah') and Ariana Grande ('Problem') in the category.

The winner will be picked by fans and at the time of writing, 5 Seconds of Summer are winning.
