5 Seconds of Summer paid tribute to Eminem whilst playing in Detroit recently.

The Australians ran through a part of his track 'Lose Yourself' whilst performing in the rapper's hometown city.

The band were in the region as they supported One Direction on their massive Where We Are world tour.

5 Seconds of Summer have already warmed up for the British-Irish group on the tour's European leg earlier this year.

Speaking recently meanwhile about the band's beginnings, drummer Ashton Irwin told Rolling Stone:

"I always wanted to be in a band with a bunch of dudes who loved Green Day and all that. So just going onstage and playing Blink-182 covers really f**king bad – it was the coolest thing ever."
