Australian pop-punk outfit 5 Seconds Of Summer have spoken out about haters and revealed that people are entitled to their own opinions, but being mean for the sake of it is such a waste of time. 

During a new interview with Alternative Press magazine, heartthrob Luke Hemmings explained that he doesn't mind if people dislike his band's music, but it does annoy him if their reasons for the negativity towards 5SOS are petty or just offensive: "I don’t care when people don’t like our band, but I don’t like when they dislike us for reasons that aren’t right. Being inside of the bubble makes it a little tough to judge, but you can go on Twitter and see something and how people reply to it."

Hemmings went onto add: "There’s definitely a lot of negative stuff out there on the internet that I’ve seen, but I try not to look at it too much. Sometimes I go see why people like us or don’t like us."

The 'She Looks So Perfect' hitmaker previously confessed that people seem to target his band for no reason and he often notices tacky remarks or nasty comments being posted online, but tries to turn a blind eye to it all:

"I feel like everyone on the internet's either really for us or really against us. I went on YouTube the other day and looked at our videos, and all of our fans are really nice and there are people saying really nice things, but then there are people there to... I don't know... just keyboard warriors."
