5 Seconds of Summer believe their Australian heritage means they will all stay down to earth.

The pop-punks have shot to global fame over the last year through the release of their debut album and numerous support gigs with One Direction.

Speaking in a new interview with 2DayFM, Luke Hemmings and Ashton Irwin said that they would instantly "call out" any of their bandmates if fame got to their heads.

When asked who would be the most likely to turn into a 'diva', Hemmings replied:

"I feel like if any of us did, because we're Australian, I think it's a thing that we do - you would just call them out straight away."

Irwin added: "I don't know if fellow Australians allow people to do that. It's in our culture not to let each other get ahead of ourselves."
