5 Seconds of Summer on busy schedule: 'Days off aren't really existent'

5 Seconds of Summer bassist Calum Hood has admitted that the band rarely get a day off.

The group have been busy this year supporting One Direction on their Europe and North America Where We Are tours.

The group have also been promoting their self-titled debut album across the globe and this means that the Australians have a non-stop schedule.

Calum Hood told KIIS FM this week: "Days off aren't really existent but that's OK, I think we're definitely fully prepared to do whatever. We really enjoy this."

Drummer Ashton Irwin added: "I was [working at KFC] before this band which is the weird thing so I'm actually not complaining at all, as long as no one ever yells at me 'fries down' again."

5 Seconds of Summer meanwhile will head back to the UK for the Radio 1 Teen Awards this weekend (October 19).
