5 Seconds of Summer's Calum Hood ready to bring fusion jazz to next album

5 Seconds of Summer star Calum Hood has quipped that he wants the band's next record to incorporate fusion jazz.

The Australian pop-punks released their self-titled debut album earlier this year, with the record hitting No.1 in the US.

They have already had writing sessions for new material and bassist Hood took to Twitter on Sunday (November 2) to joke about their new album's style.

He said: "Ready to start writing this next record. I'm thinking fusion jazz."

The quartet meanwhile are due to appear on US TV's The Ellen Show on November 5.

They are also scheduled to perform in Phoenix and Los Angeles between November 13 and November 16.
