5SOS on performing their first headlining arena show: 'We might cry, it's such a special gig'

Australian pop-punk heroes 5 Seconds Of Summer will perform a live headlining concert later tonight (November 13) in Arizona and they revealed that it will be a very special occasion for them as it's their first headlining show of this stature.

The 'Good Girls' heartthrobs will play at the Ak-Chin Pavilion in Phoenix this evening and drummer Ashton Irwin explained that it's a momentous gig for them, tweeting: "Such a special day tomorrow for the band and you guys, to be headlining an amphitheater arena is insane."

Michael Clifford, who plays guitar in the band, also shared a tweet about the concert, adding: "SO F**KIN' PUMPED FOR THE SHOW TOMORROW. First arena headline. I might cry."

The venue seats 8,000 people under a pavilion roof and an additional 12,000 on a hillside behind the main stands. The lads, meanwhile, will kick off their 2015 headlining arena tour in May and they have been teasing that the stage set-up will blow fans away
