5 Seconds of Summer win first ARIA award

5 Seconds of Summer have bagged their first ARIA award.

The Australian music awards ceremony was held on Wednesday (November 26) in Sydney and a host of big names were honoured.

5 Seconds of Summer won the Song of the Year prize for their effort 'She Looks So Perfect'.

It was the band's first ARIA award and it saw guitarist Michael Clifford leap for joy when it was announced.

The pop-punks failed to win any of their other three nominated categories, with Iggy Azalea bagging the Breakthrough Artist award.

Sheppard - who Pressparty recently caught up with - won Best Group and Best Pop Release went to Sia's album '1000 Forms of Fear'.
