Heartthrobs 5 Seconds Of Summer have enjoyed incredible success this year, but drummer Ashton Irwin has revealed that fame hasn't influenced or changed them at all. 

The lads won an ARIA awards last night in their native Australia, they picked up the New Artist of the Year prize at the 2014 American Music Awards earlier this month, and will kick off their own headlining arena tour next year. 

Speaking backstage at the ARIAs, Irwin confessed that while they've been able to experience amazing things, they aren't at all different to how they were when they first burst onto the scene and are still the same down-to-earth boys:

"The thing is... we're just... it's hard to see it from outside of the bubble. I don't know what people think we are... It's just me and these three other dudes. We're just regular Joes. I play the drums, they play guitars, and Calum plays the bass. It doesn't really affect us at all."
