5SOS enjoy rare time at home: 'It's so weird to wake up in our own beds'

Australian heartthrobs 5 Seconds Of Summer have enjoyed an amazing year, but they are now back down under and are revelling in some well-deserved and rare free time at home.

Drummer Ashton Irwin took to his official Twitter page earlier today (November 28) and confessed that waking up in his own bed is something that feels amazing after being away for so long: "Such a weird feeling waking up in my own bed at home, doesn't happen very often! Morning everyone x."

The lads won the New Artist of the Year ARIA award earlier this week in Australia (pictured above left) and Irwin told reporters backstage that fame hasn't changed him or the other 5SOS heartthrobs:

"The thing is... we're just... it's hard to see it from outside of the bubble. I don't know what people think we are... It's just me and these three other dudes. We're just regular Joes. I play the drums, they play guitars, and Calum plays the bass. It doesn't really affect us at all."
