5 Seconds of Summer song enjoys 418% sales rise after American Music Awards

A 5 Seconds of Summer track has seen its sales rise by 418% after they performed it at the American Music Awards.

The Australians ran through the track 'What I Like About You' at the ceremony in November.

Billboard have confirmed that the song enjoyed a sales jump of 418% in the US in the two weeks after the event.

The track was the biggest percentage riser of all the tunes performed at the awards ceremony.

Lorde's 'Yellow Flicker Beat' rose by 214%, whilst Charli XCX's 'Break The Rules' jumped by 118%.

The biggest rise in terms of units meanwhile was Taylor Swift's 'Blank Space', which enjoyed a boost of 153,000 downloads.
