5 Seconds of Summer have expressed their delight at what's in store for them next year.

The group are due to embark on their world Rock Out With Your Socks Out tour in 2015 as well as writing their second record.

Speaking on Twitter today (December 12), the Australians told fans to expect a busy upcoming twelve months.

They wrote: "So much cool sh*t happening next year!!! After we all gain 1000 pounds over Christmas."

5 Seconds of Summer are due to return to the UK in June for a series of arena tour dates.

They will bring their Rock Out With Your Socks Out jaunt to cities such as Glasgow, London and Liverpool.
