5 Seconds of Summer thank fans for an 'amazing' 2014

5 Seconds of Summer have reached out to their fans for making their last 12 months extra special.

The Australians released their debut album earlier this year and they have also supported One Direction on their stadium tour.

The lads hit up the Hot 99.5 Jingle Ball on Monday (December 15) and it was their last festive radio gig of the year.

When asked backstage what they would like to say to their fans, the band - who attended the event dressed as old people - were grateful.

Luke Hemmings said: "Sorry that we're dressed up like this, but thanks for an amazing year."

Ashton Irwin added: "Happy holidays."
