5SOS reveal excitement for next phase in their career: 'New songs, new artwork and new gigs!'

Australian band 5 Seconds Of Summer will head back out on the road soon and they have also started work on their next record, so they're well into the beginning of this new chapter.

The band took to their collective Twitter page earlier today (January 20) and told their followers that they're so excited for this next phase: "I wonder what our next album will sound like... Our new songs! Band photos, artworks, gigs! GAH SO MUCH STUFFFFFF!"

Earlier this week, member Calum Hood told his fans that the new songs he and the heartthrobs have written together recently are amazing. He tweeted: "Wrote 2 songs at the end of last year with @JohnFeldy and they're easily my favourite we've ever written. So excited for this next record!! (sic)."

The 'Don't Stop' hitmakers will open their upcoming Rock Out With Your Socks Out tour in Lisbon on May 4 and will then travel across Europe, Australia, New Zealand and North America.
