Aussie pop-punk heartthrobs 5 Seconds Of Summer are currently on tour in Japan and drummer Ashton Irwin has taken to Twitter to give followers advice on how to handle negativity. 

The rocker admitted that the best approach to dealing with nasty people is always to kill them with kindness. He wrote: "No matter how nasty people are in life... Show kindness, smile through it and love, laugh, be good people, just cause you can..."

The lads, meanwhile, are nominated in the International Group category at tonight's BRIT Awards and they will go head to head with the likes of the Foo Fighters, The Black Keys and The War On Drugs for the prize. The ceremony is set to take place in London at the O2 Arena later tonight.
