5 Seconds of Summer have 'best time ever' in Japan

5 Seconds of Summer have effused praise about their time in Japan.

The Australian quartet have been in the country over the past week for a few shows.

They headlined the Akasaka Blitz in Tokyo before supporting One Direction over four dates at the Saitama Super Arena.

Their time in the Asian country is coming to an end and the band tweeted today (March 2):

"Last show today in Tokyo! SERIOUSLY we've had the best time ever here in Japan. Please have us back here again soon."

5 Seconds of Summer meanwhile have been busy working on the follow-up to their 2014 self-titled debut album.

They have been working with the likes of the Madden Brothers and Sum 41's Deryck Whibley on new material.
