5 Seconds of Summer has teased fans with the prospect of a new project.

The band got their followers' attention with the hashtag "#5ONTHEWALL" on Twitter recently.

A website of a fuzzy television screen was created and its image was plugged online.

A video without sound of the band in Tokyo dancing backstage was later uploaded but soon taken down.

5 Seconds of Summer meanwhile have been busy recently working on the follow-up to their 2014 self-titled debut album.

They have been writing with the likes of the Madden Brothers and Simple Plan for the record.
