5 Seconds of Summer have revealed the first act signed to their record label.

The band have started their own imprint called Hey Or Hi Records in conjunction with Capitol.

The Australians have now confirmed that they have snapped up Hey Violet.

The group are a female-fronted pop-punk four-piece from Los Angeles.

They wrote on Facebook: "Ahhhhhh!!! In case you haven’t heard the news, we’re now signed to Hi or Hey Records!!! We are so excited and cannot believe everything that is happening.

"Thank you guys so much for always supporting us, this year is going to be amazing!"

5 Seconds of Summer star Luke Hemmings wrote on Twitter:
