5SOS thank fans for being so patient while they work on sophomore album

Aussie pop-punk stars 5 Seconds Of Summer are currently working on the follow-up album to their 2014 self-titled debut and drummer Ashton Irwin has thanked fans for being so patient with them.

The heartthrob, who has already teased followers by revealing that 5SOS have been in the studio with the Madden Brothers, Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley and Simple Plan, explained that he and the rest of his bandmates are grateful that people are so 'dedicated' to hearing their new music:

"Thank you all for being so patient and dedicated and sticking around whilst we create some new jams... Love you & I love the new songs!"

Guitarist Michael Clifford also recently told fans that he recorded an amazing track with songwriter and producer David Hodges, who is a former member of Evanescence: "Recorded one of my favourite songs with the guys and @hodgesmusic today. you guys are gonna love it."
