5SOS's Calum Hood on new material: 'I'm so proud of what we've created together'

Aussie pop-punk heartthrobs 5 Seconds Of Summer are currently working on their highly anticipated sophomore studio album and they revealed that they're all 'proud' of the new material they've created together so far.

Bass player Calum Hood took to his official Twitter page at the beginning of the week and confessed that he's very excited at how the band's next album is turning out because the songs the lads have written so far are amazing: "Listening to new tunes.. So proud of the lads on what they've written."

Frontman Luke Hemmings also shared a tweet on April 19 about the struggles of being a celebrity and admitted that it's annoying to think people can easily make up a rumour and thousands will blindly believe it: "We live in a world that someone can say anything about anyone and it can be seen as the truth."

The band, meanwhile, have just been confirmed to perform at this year's Radio 1 Big Weekend and they will take to the main stage on Saturday, May 23 for a special set at Norwich's Earlham Park.
