5 Seconds of Summer star Ashton Irwin says he has achieved a childhood dream.

The drummer took to Twitter at the weekend to reveal that he has always wanted to see people wearing his band's t-shirts in public.

Irwin said: "Seeing people wearing our shirts in public, that's the dream right there, ever since I was a kid... 5SOS NATION!!!"

5 Seconds of Summer meanwhile are due to head out on their latest headline tour next week.

Their Rock Out With Your Socks Out run will open in Lisbon, Portugal on May 4.

The UK leg of the tour will take place in June.
