5SOS frontman Luke Hemmings struggling with laryngitis

Aussie pop-punk heroes 5 Seconds Of Summer are currently on their world tour and member Luke Hemmings, who fronts the band, has revealed that he has just been diagnosed with laryngitis, which is an inflammation of the larynx (voice box).

The heartthrobs have an incredibly busy schedule at the moment and stepped away from their ROWYSO jaunt to rock the BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend stage in Norwich yesterday afternoon (May 23). They now have a few days off before resuming the tour on May 28 with a concert in Dublin, Ireland.

Luke Hemmings explained to his followers that a doctor in France diagnosed him with laryngitis so he's trying to recover as quickly as possible: "A French doctor told me I have laryngitis, currently eating chicken alphabet soup."

Guitarist Michael Clifford also took to his official Twitter page following their performance at the Big Weekend and told his fans that he had a great time: "Thank you Radio 1 for having us. Big Weekend was sweet. Loved it. Hope everyone out there gets laid."
