5SOS recruit London Symphony Orchestra for live strings on their new album

Australian pop-punk band 5 Seconds Of Summer have been in the studio with the London Symphony Orchestra this week recording live strings for their forthcoming studio album.

Matt Pauling, whose Instagram page confirms that he is a producer and engineer working for John Feldmann, shared a snapshot of himself standing in a room at London's Angel Studios and he captioned the image with the following explanation:

"Live strings with the London Symphony Orchestra for the new @5sos album. Absolutely breath taking."

5SOS heartthrob Calum Hood shared a similar image, which can be seen above left, from the same studio last night (May 26) and posted it alongside an emoji of a violin.

Frontman Luke Hemmings recently told All Time Low on their Full Frontal radio show that their next record is almost finished: "We've written the whole record as far as we know. It's basically all recorded almost, there's a few more things to do and then we'll put it out, put a single out. You know how it works - single, single, album."
