5SOS excited ahead of 'huge' Wembley residency: 'This is incredible'

'Good Girls' hitmakers 5 Seconds Of Summer will take the stage at Wembley Arena tonight for the first show of their impressive 3-night residency and they can't quite believe it.

The SSE Arena at Wembley has a capacity of 12,500 and member Ashton Irwin, who drums in the band, told his followers that he is overwhelmed at the prospect of performing three concerts at the iconic venue: "What a huge day for us boys! Wembley arena! Here we come night 1 of 3, THIS IS INCREDIBLE."

Guitarist Michael Clifford also posted a tweet about tonight's (June 12) gig and said: "Had a dream about making cupcakes last night. Also ready to play a show at Wembley."

The band, meanwhile, have been nominated for three prizes at this year's Teen Choice Awards and they're recognised in the Music Group: Male and Song: Group ('What I Like About You') categories, as well as the Fashion Choice Male Hottie section. The ceremony will take place on August 16.
