5SOS' Michael Clifford returns to stage after pyro accident

5 Seconds of Summer guitarist Michael Clifford has resumed duties after being involved in a pyrotechnics accident.

The Australian received minor injuries after he was caught in an on-stage flame on Saturday (June 13) at London's Wembley Arena.

He later uploaded a picture of himself wearing bandages on his face.

However, Clifford returned to performing on Sunday (June 14) at the same venue.

At one point during the gig drummer Ashton Irwin asked fans to raise their hands and create a heart shape for his bandmate.

Clifford said on Twitter after the performance: "Thank you for tonight Wembley!! You were amazing :).

"Last night of the UK/EU tour finished :) thank you so damn much for all of the crew involved and all of the people who came...love to all!!!"
