5SOS receive plaque for three sell-out shows at Wembley Arena

Australian pop-punk band 5 Seconds Of Summer just finished a three-night residency at London's famed Wembley Arena and were given plaques to celebrate the career milestone.

The venue shared a series of photographs of the lads accepting their plaques backstage (shown below) and accompanied them with the following caption: "The boys accept their awards to commemorate 3 sell-out shows from General Manager John Drury and Head of Operations Sharon Smith."

Ashton Irwin told his followers on Twitter that he had the best time at Wembley and is very proud of himself and his bandmates: "Us and an air conditioner celebrating the UK- Europe tour! Again, thank you to anyone who rocked with us!!!"

Guitarist Michael Clifford, who was burned on-stage during the band's second show, thanked everyone involved and tweeted: "Last night of the UK/EU tour finished :) thank you so damn much for all of the crew involved and all of the people who came... love to all!!!"

Frontman Luke Hemmings also posted a message about the impressive achievement, which read: "End of the UK & Europe tour today, what an incredible unforgettable experience." Calum Hood added: "Hat trick of wembley arenas! Thankyou thankyou thankyou to every one of you who made this possible."
