5SOS: 'All we want to do is make people fall more in love with live music'

'She's Kinda Hot' hitmakers 5 Seconds Of Summer played a gig in San Francisco at the Shoreline Amphitheater last night and drummer Ashton Irwin told his followers that he's overwhelmed by the amount of people who come to see them perform.

The drummer took to his official Twitter page earlier this morning (July 23) and explained to his fans that all he ever wants to do is to make people fall more in love with music:

"It absolutely blows my mind that thousands of you come to our shows every night, what a dream come true. I hope that you have the best time ever & I hope you leave feeling alive and more in love with live music than you were before."

Earlier this week, Irwin was surprised live on air with a call from his former music teacher, Mr. Turner. Speaking to him on Dan and Maz, Irwin said: "I haven't had the chance to say this, this is awesome. Thank you so much for motivating my whole school life - to do better in music and to do what I do. You're an awesome teacher."
