5 Seconds Of Summer are desperate to release more new music

Australian pop-punkers 5 Seconds Of Summer recently teased their upcoming new album by releasing a new single called 'She's Kinda Hot' and the band have now revealed that they can't wait to share more new material.

Drummer Ashton Irwin took to his official Twitter page this morning and told his followers that he's really excited for them to hear what they've been working on: "Just want to release MORE NEW MUSIC NOW!"

Back in May, it was revealed that the heartthrobs had recruited the London Symphony Orchestra to record strings on the album and they've also spent time in the studio with Bonnie McKee and Goldfinger's John Feldmann. They've also been working with the likes of Sum 41's Deryck Whibley and the band Simple Plan.

Guitarist Michael Clifford, meanwhile, recently told Hot Topic that they had to fight a hard battle to be a pop-punk band as they were met with a lot of resistance when trying to get their start: "Ever since we started being in a band, it was always our dream to have guitar music be on the radio again. It has taken us a long time to get there - a lot of people definitely didn't want us to try and do something different, but we stuck to our gut..."
