5 Seconds Of Summer drummer Ashton Irwin has revealed that Los Angeles, where he and the rest of the band recorded their new record 'Sounds Good Feels Good', now has a big place in his heart. 

Speaking to the Rolling Stone, the heartthrob confessed that the city definitely had a big impact on their forthcoming new album as it influenced their personal lives in such a significant way:

"The place itself feels really magical. We made a lot of friends there. For songwriting purposes, it was a really great time for us. I even met a girl over there and fell in love. Things like that contributed to making this album. It felt unreal, and before we knew it, we'd recorded everything and it was time to go on tour."

Band member Michael Clifford also confessed that he thinks his band's success is down to their relatability: "It's always been just the four us. I think that's one of the reasons why fans really latched onto us, because they just see us as four equal kids. We always just want [to be] the best we can possibly be, and I hope that never changes. I don't think that it will."
