5SOS reveal how they chose the title for their upcoming new album

'She's Kinda Hot' pop-punk band 5 Seconds Of Summer have opened up about their new album, 'Sounds Good Feels Good', and admitted that the title was spoken aloud in the studio by one of the members after finishing recording one of the tracks.

Speaking to Billboard on the red carpet at the recent Teen Choice Awards, drummer Ashton Irwin confessed that their forthcoming new studio album showcases a real 'evolution'

"The new record is super personal to us. We all lived in a house together and recorded it and wrote it. We just care about it a lot. It’s definitely an evolution from the last album. It’s a bigger, more rocking sound.”

Guitarist Michael Clifford went onto add that it's more of an electic record because they experimented with lots of sounds: “There’s lots of different s**t on it. It’s really diverse. There are lots of key sounds we go to.”

Irwin also spoke about the album's title, 'Sounds Good Feels Good', and revealed how it came about: “‘Feels Good’ came from the beginning of one of the singles we’re about to put out. "Luke [Hemmings] said it in the studio after we recorded it. He said, ‘Sounds good! Feels good!’ and we were like, ‘There it is!'" Hemmings added: "It encapsulates the whole album’s sound. It sounds badass. It reminds of, like, an ‘80s Mötley Crüe title.”
