5SOS's Luke Hemmings gives honest advice to aspiring bands

Australian pop-punk heartthrobs 5 Seconds Of Summer have enjoyed incredible success over the last few years and member Luke Hemmings has now given some advice to people hoping to follow in their footsteps.

The lads gave some words of advice to aspiring musicians the upcoming annual edition of 'The Boy' and frontman Luke Hemmings confessed that getting as much live experience as possible is the best thing for any hopeful band:

"Play a lot of live gigs before you’ve even released any songs. Playing live is what we did a LOT of in the early days. Just getting along with your band all the time is so important. The tighter you are, the better you are."

When asked if they ever squabble with each other backstage, Hemmings added that if they do ever butt heads it's only about trivial issues because they put a lot of work into maintaining their relationships with one another:

"It’s usually about music and rehearsals. You kind of have to learn to live with these other three people and it’d be terrible if you didn’t get on. You kind of know what each other likes and doesn’t like at this point, so that makes it a lot easier."
