5 Seconds of Summer believe going out on tour and experiencing life has directly influenced the lyrics of their upcoming second album.

The group are due to release their sophomore effort 'Sounds Good Feels Good' on October 23.

Speaking in a new interview with Notion magazine, the Australians said that the studio effort will be deeper than their 2014 self-titled debut.

They said: "With the first album we were 16 years old when we wrote it.

"But now we've been on tour for four and a half years, we've experienced stuff. We've written about a lot of different things on this album because we're older and we've experienced more of life, so we've got more to talk about."

The record will include the current single 'She's Kinda Hot'.
