5SOS would love to write music for Niall Horan if he ever goes solo

5 Seconds Of Summer have revealed that writing songs for other bands and artists is something they enjoy doing and there's one singer in particular they are interested in working with.

The band's frontman Luke Hemmings told Britain's Daily Star newspaper that he would jump at the chance to pen tracks for Horan if he decided to pursue a solo career while One Direction are on their scheduled break:

"I’d love to write for Niall if he does a solo album. We’ve written for One Direction before and he’s a good dude. They are very talented so we would love to get involved.”

1D, meanwhile, recently reassured fans that their planned hiatus will be temporary and they told Beats1 radio that a break will allow them to rest and then return with more energy and drive than ever before:

"I actually think that having a break will bring nothing but better music and us with more energy for performance. We'll be able to give more to our craft rather than being something that's made... not that our new album was rushed at all. It's going to be nice and we're all going to go and explore music a bit more."
