5SOS: 'No one else in the mainstream pop industry is doing what we are'

'She's Kinda Hot' hitmakers 5 Seconds Of Summer will unveil their highly anticipated new album 'Sounds Good Feels Good' on October 23 and they have revealed that they're especially proud of it because they're doing something no one else is attempting in the industry right now.

Bass player Calum Hood told Britain's Daily Star that their new record stands out from anything else on the music market at the moment because they were bold with the lyrical content of their songs:

"We want to reach out to people and show them no matter how much money you have, you go through the same things as everyone else, but you will get through it. We wrote about the topics people don’t want to talk about but we want our fans to be able to relate to our music. No-one in the mainstream pop industry is doing that.”

5SOS, meanwhile, will appear on Alan Carr's 'Chatty Man' television talk show tonight and the episode will air at 10pm on Channel 4 in the UK
