5 Seconds of Summer charity toy dog auction reaches £1k

An online auction of a bunny taken on tour with 5 Seconds of Summer has now reached over £1,000 ($1,537).

One of the band's sound crew are currently auctioning Ketchup the Dog to raise money for the charity To Write Love On Her Arms, which helps people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide.

The toy has been stuck to one of the group's mixing desks at every one of their 69 Rock Out With Your Socks Out Tour gigs.

The dog has been written on by 5 Seconds of Summer, with the auction details adding:

"His tail is a little shabby as we had to gaffa tape him down so he didn't blow away during the storms or get stolen by anyone."

The auction now also includes a Zoom R24 multi-track recorder, with the seller saying:

"Because this auction has shown so much interest I have decided to include the Zoom Mixing desk in the auction as well so Ketchup can still be united with his mixing desk."

At the time of writing, the auction is currently sitting at £1,010 ($1,552) and has attracted 32 bids. There are 15 hours left to run.
