5SOS's manager: 'Some people are just determined not to like the band'

Australian pop-punk quartet 5 Seconds Of Summer have an incredible fan base, but their team have revealed that outside of their established following it can be quite hard to get people to listen to their material.

The band's manager, Vibia Auld, admitted to The Guardian newspaper that it is difficult for the boys because despite the enormous amount of attention they attract, there are still people who refuse to check out their music:

"We've got all these amazing statistics we can reel off to make people pay attention, but the figures just don't hit home with some people. Some listeners are determined not to like the boys."

5SOS, meanwhile, will unveil their highly anticipated new studio album 'Sounds Good Feels Good' on October 23 and they recently told Australia's Daily Telegraph that they're hoping to reach more people with the lyrics on this offering:

"The band got big so quickly off the first album and we went and looked at our own issues individually, the fans’ issues and we said we need to put on our thinking caps and think about what we are singing and expressing. We can create a bigger voice than any media outlet, and to people our age, I think we can speak the truth better than anyone else can. That’s where we want to go with this band.”
